Bored, unhappy, and desperate for cash, he agrees to start spying for a shady underworld organization...and very quickly stumbles upon a dangerous conspiracy. Now on the run from the conspirators, the police, and the city's most powerful superheroes, Max turns to his friends and fellow outcasts for help.
