The story portrays four generations of the Hackman family, employees, associates, and some of the many friendships that began and flourished because of the business' commitment to the community it served. J. Eric Bishop taught English and German at Christopher Dock Mennonite High School (now Dock Mennonite Academy, Lansdale, PA) for 37 years. He currently serves two days a week as Director of Curriculum and Instruction at Quakertown Christian School. Eric lives in Souderton, PA, with his wife, Linda Hostetler Bishop.
