A killer on campus is a crime novel based around Detective Jerome Octavious Mitchell, a small town detective investigating a homicide which occurred at his alumni, Chesapeake State University. The murder occurs during homecoming which shocks the students, staff and alumni. With the incident occurring during homecoming in which tons of people are on campus and the victim's friends and associates were all in the vicinity of the murder, it makes them all either suspects or witnesses with valuable information to help solve the case.
