About the Author

Kate Simpson is an author and educator with a deep passion for learning about cutting-edge practices that help individuals use the power of neuroplasticity to deepen their emotional resilience and create positive change in their lives. She holds a degree in English Literature and Secondary Education from Boston College and a master's degree in Education from Stanford University. The idea for BREATHE: A Guided Journal to Stop Overthinking, Calm Your Emotions & Change Your Life came after seeing the lack of resources available to her teen and young adult children and their friends as they faced the many challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. Kate is also the co-author of Take Two: A Journal for New Beginnings, published by Chronicle Books, and a co-founder of ValuesAdvisor, a non-profit that empowers investors to align their investments with their values. She has three children, two of whom are now out of the house, and lives in Maine with her husband.
