Ce L' Akvo Forgeso was originally printed in Marjorie Boulton's collection of playlets, Virino ce la Landlimo; Drametoj kaj Skecoj. This work is not only a beautiful example of original Esperanto poetry, it is also a powerful and expressive love story. The tragic tale of Eurydice and Orpheus lives on in At the Waters of Oblivion, both in its Esperanto version and with a side-by-side English translation. The preface by Pierre Lioni Ullman examines the unique verse construction and provides a glimpse into the mind of the author, who was a candidate for the Nobel Prize in Literature in 2008.
