Cassie and the Pesky Pooka Fairies is a sequel to Cassie and the Howling Banshee which is set in Northern Ireland in the early 20th Century.
Cassie is a twelve year old girl who is faced by a family problem. Lickspittle the wicked witch and her servants the evil, mischievous Pooka Fairies, who live in a cave in the mountain, are plotting against her family. Why? Because they think she knows where Queen Maeve's magical torque necklaces have been hidden by Tara the White Witch and they want to get their hands on them. Being in possession of these necklaces would give them the power over everything, and everyone on the mountain.
Cassie and her friend Patrick have to journey into the mountain to thwart the wicked plans of Lickspittle and the Pookas. They have the help of Tara the White Witch, Fintan the healer, and Brigid and Theodora the magical fairies, but can they all working together save the day?
