"Ellis & Paloma are Rock & Roll's answer to Nick & Nora Charles!"
ο»ΏThe Left Coast Irregulars is a fast paced, intense, and engaging mystery novel that weaves touring rock and roll concerts with international intrigue, witty dialogue, dangerous villains, and a pair of novice detectives, one of whom is a strong, determined female. You can sense DePaul's inside knowledge and deep love of the musicians, roadies, managers, and fans who make up a touring concert. This is a top notch read, not to be missed.

ο»Ώο»ΏI had a ball reading this book. It's really good and smartly written. Steven DePaul has taken the old Raymond Chandler L.A. "detective" novels, in which L.A. itself was such a vivid character, and given them a rock & roll spin. The only similarly detailed and realistic portrayal of L.A. as a setting I can think of are the police procedurals of Michael Connolly, and The Left Coast Irregulars is way hipper. De Paul has not only written a book, he's created a genre: the rock & roll mystery! Bravo.

"Steven DePaul spent two decades touring the world with rock bands including The Eagles, Joni Mitchell, The Grateful Dead, Crosby, Stills & Nash, and Bruce Springsteen. He is an Emmy-winning producer and director for shows like NYPD Blue, The Good Doctor, NCIS LA, and Grimm. The Left Coast Irregulars is his debut novel."
