This study begins with an introduction to and history of aircraft hydraulics, and proceeds with a discussion of the basic principles of hydraulically actuated mechanisms. The Aviation Structural Mechanic is then directed to the elementary phase of hydraulic fluids and fittings. Ensuing sections include discussions of line maintenance and trouble shooting, and the book concludes with a chapter on hydraulic automatic pilots.
