Cottage Door Press is an independent publisher of high-quality children's books. Our books are designed to spark curiosity in the littlest readers and fan the flames of lifelong learning. We understand children deserve our respect. That's why we always select artwork and stories that encourage caregivers to "read up" to their little ones--exploring interests together, learning together, and giving their young minds room to grow.We also believe in creating stories that reflect the boundless possibilities of all children. We hope to create books that inspire little ones to connect, encourage them to dream, give them cause to celebrate, and allow them to see themselves beautifully reflected in the stories they read.To bring these beautiful stories to life, our diverse and talented staff collaborates with authors and illustrators from all backgrounds and nationalities. We have also partnered with multicultural brands and literacy organizations to make sure our books reflect and reach as many little ones as possible.I'm Daniela Sosa, a freelance illustrator originally from Romania and currently based in Cambridge, UK.I am a graduate of the Children's Book Illustrations MA course at the Cambridge School of Art.My main focus is children's books, but I also enjoy doing other types of illustration work. At age 19 Monique headed off to the beautiful city of Cape Town, South Africa, where she studied animation at City Varsity. There she discovered the magic of storytelling! She was then employed by one of the only animation companies in South Africa at the time, Clockwork Zoo. She had the opportunity to work on an animation for the Disney channel called "Florrie's Dragons". Today Monique is a freelance illustrator and her passion is creating images that encompass light, life, warmth and color.Emily Emerson is an illustrator who creates for children's books, licensing, greeting cards, and surface pattern design. She loves drawing animals and finds inspiration in the beauty of nature. She lives in sunny Kansas with her pug, Meena. Emily is represented by the Plum Agency.Pamela is a freelance illustrator based in a small city of Buenos Aires, Argentina. During the past 6 years she has collaborated with several Argentinian as well as foreign publishers. Her illustrations are packed with fun and colorful characters. Specifically the giant "search and find" pieces that she really enjoys creating. She also loves to draw outdoor scenes, all kinds of cute animals, and (of course!) playful kids. Music and fruit flavored-teas are a must during working hours.Hello. I'm Takako (tΓ h-kah-koh) Fisher, an illustrator who love baby animals - especially the ones in overalls and rain boots! After I graduated from Harding University with a BFA in Graphic Design, I became an advertising art director/designer. When my son was born, I started reading picture books to him everyday. It didn't take long for me to realize how much I loved picture books. I loved Frog and Toad books when I was growing up, and they are still my favorite today. I adore their friendship and cool outfits. My son is older now, and we don't read together any more. But my love for picture books keeps growing.
