This book compares the efforts of China and Rwanda in the field of poverty alleviation, especially the contribution of education in promoting poverty reduction, in both Chinese and English language.
China has provided huge support for Rwanda's poverty reduction in areas such as infrastructure, education, health care and agriculture. Chinese investors have created jobs in Rwanda, roads designed and built by China have facilitated trade between Rwandans, and the Masaka hospital built with Chinese aid has provided high-quality medical services to Rwandans, including the poor people. With the support and help of the China, some students in Rwanda were able to complete their studies. Rwanda can learn from China how to get out of poverty. For example, China has lifted a large number of people out of poverty through e-commerce platforms.
