This textbook explores how societal challenges impact equity and fairness on a local and global scale. It addresses a breadth of concerns from distributive justice and feminist principles to peacebuilding efforts, thoroughly examining how inequality manifests across various societal constructs including race, gender, ethnicity, and economic class.
Mark Curnutte is an assistant lecturer of individualized studies and the founding director of the Social Justice Internship Program at Miami University. He holds a B.A. in English and geography from Miami University, where he also completed a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Professional Certificate. His research interests include racism in the U.S., Black American history, and relations between Haiti and the Dominican Republic.
