BLEECKER STREET: Where Sin Never Sleeps
A Historical Thriller Based on the Infamous New York Ripper and the Woman Who Dared to Unmask Him
New York City, 1880s-a city of dazzling opulence and unspeakable horrors. The glittering Gilded Age masks a darker reality, where shadowy alleys whisper with danger, and a ruthless killer known as the New York Ripper stalks the night, leaving the butchered bodies of merchant seamen in his wake.
When Emma Gilder, an ambitious young reporter for The New York World, sets out to expose the truth behind the murders, she finds herself in a deadly race against time. Even the formidable Inspector Thomas Byrnes, famed for his unrelenting pursuit of criminals, struggles to untangle the gruesome mystery. But the deeper Emma digs, the more nightmarish the puzzle becomes-an escaped lunatic called the Mad Hatter, a chilling copycat murder in a waterfront hotel, and a trail of secrets that lead straight into the city's darkest heart.
As the body count rises and hysteria grips the streets, Emma is drawn into a terrifying game of cat and mouse with a faceless predator who always seems one step ahead. And just as the noose tightens, James Rankin-a dangerously charismatic man with secrets of his own-enters her life, awakening desires she cannot afford to indulge. But in a city where sin never sleeps, distractions can be deadly.
